We created Cascais By Boat because we wanted to share what we love most: sailing this coastline, knowing the perfect spot to drop anchor.

Every experience is private, relaxed, and shaped around you.

All experiences are operated under full maritime certification and Portuguese safety standards.

Frequently asked questions

Do I need any sailing experience?

None at all. We handle everything on board. You're a guest — just relax and enjoy the experience. If you'd like to try the helm, he'll happily show you how.

Is the boat really private? Will there be other people on board?

Always private. Every experience is booked exclusively for your group. There are no shared departures — the boat is yours from start to finish.

What happens if the weather is bad?

Safety comes first. If conditions are unsuitable, we'll reschedule at no cost. We monitor forecasts closely and will contact you in advance if there's any concern.

Is it suitable for children?

Yes, absolutely. Families are welcome on all experiences. Life jackets are available in all sizes and we are experienced sailing with guests of all ages.

What's included in the price?

Wine, soft drinks, and water are included on every experience. The boats have a toilet on board. For the full-day Lisbon tour, lunch ashore is not included but there are excellent restaurants in Belém where we anchor.

How do I book and is a deposit required?

Select your experience and preferred date using the booking button. You can also contact us directly by WhatsApp or email if you'd like to check availability before booking.

Can we swim during the experience?

On the longer experiences, yes — weather and sea conditions permitting. Let us know when booking and we'll plan accordingly.

Where do we meet?

All experiences depart from Cascais Marina, Dock H, 2750-800 Cascais. Easy to reach by train from Lisbon (Cascais line, 40 minutes) or by car. Paid parking is available nearby.
